Objectives

  1. To acquire general knowledge about the requirements for installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring systems of an aircraft (EWIS).
  2. To provide information about the manuals and contents, as well as standard wiring practices developed by aircraft manufacturers for inspection and maintenance.
  3. To know the correct identification of the different types of cables, inspection criteria and tolerances, repair procedures and preventive maintenance.
  4. To know the sources of contamination, materials, cleaning and protection procedures.
